Ogun State's Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MOEST) identified a widening gap between curriculum policy and classroom reality across the state. With over 11,000 public schools and 95,000+ teachers, the state needed a scalable digital infrastructure that could elevate teaching quality, standardise curriculum delivery, and give government real-time oversight — without adding to teachers' already heavy administrative burden.

OgunLEARN was configured with all MOEST-approved lesson notes, curriculum maps, and subject materials across every subject and class level, aligned to Ogun State's academic standards before any training began.
MOEST coordinated official training events across the state, led by ministry officials and senior Luceo implementation staff. Public school administrators were equipped to manage the platform and oversee teacher adoption within their schools.
OgunLEARN was officially launched by Governor Dapo Abiodun at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Abeokuta, marking the go-live of Nigeria's first state-wide AI-powered teaching and learning platform integrated into the DiPER digital infrastructure.
Selected teachers from across Ogun State were designated as OgunLEARN Ambassadors — trained to a deeper level so they could champion the platform within their schools and train fellow teachers peer-to-peer. This multiplied the reach of formal training exponentially.
Ambassadors continue to hold school-level training sessions with colleagues, sharing best practices for AI lesson note generation, CBT setup, and student tracking. The cascade training model means every new teacher in the state can be onboarded by a peer in their own school.
Rather than relying solely on top-down government training, MOEST and Luceo co-designed the OgunLEARN Ambassadors Programme — selecting dedicated teachers from across Ogun State and training them as platform champions.
Ambassadors receive advanced training in all OgunLEARN features and are empowered to run school-level onboarding sessions with their colleagues. This peer-to-peer cascade model dramatically accelerated adoption — new teachers can be onboarded by a trusted colleague in their own school, in their own time, without waiting for formal sessions.
